Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan hosted members of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States at the Vahdetdin residence in Istanbul on Sunday.

"Representative of Uzbekistan B. Saifullayev first expressed words of joy over the recovery of the Turkish leader and highlighted that the sincere relations between the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Turkish leader Recep Erdoğan became the basis for the restoration of friendly ties between Uzbekistan and Turkey," the Senate reported.

He also stressed that thanks to the political will of the President of Uzbekistan, not only the atmosphere in Central Asia was completely renewed and good neighborly relations were restored, but also strong fraternal ties were established with the member states of the Organization of Turkic States, and its full-fledged activities were established.

This opinion was supported by Recep Erdoğan, who said that he plans to visit Tashkent at the end of March this year, and expressed confidence that the summit of the Organization of Turkic States, which will be held in autumn in Uzbekistan, will be important to upgrade the activities of this Organization to a new level.
