Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Helga Schmid will visit Uzbekistan in March. The preparations for her visit were discussed today between the Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov and OSCE project coordinator in the country Pierre von Arcs, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reported.
At the meeting at the Foreign Ministry, the parties reiterated mutual interest of the parties in the implementation of the projects outlined in the Road Map for advancing cooperation between Uzbekistan and the OSCE.
Also, on March 3-4, Tashkent will host an international conference on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the joint implementation of the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy in Central Asia. The event is organized jointly with the OSCE and the UN Office of Counter-Terrorism.
