Uzhydromet issued an emergency statement today. Reportedly, on February 11-12, warm air from Turkmenistan is expected to enter Uzbekistan, followed by the intrusion of moist and cool air mass from the regions of the North Caucasus.
“On February 11-12, in Karakalpakstan, Khorezm, Bukhara, Navoi, Tashkent, Samarkand, Syrdarya, Jizzakh, Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya provinces, in some places the wind is expected to increase to 17-22 m/s in some areas with dusty snow, the statement said.
Also, on February 11 in Karakalpakstan and Khorezm province, as well as on February 12 precipitation is expected in the rest of the country, (rain, in some places it may turn into snow), in foothill and mountainous areas it may be heavy in places.
