Uzbekistan plans to raise the minimum age for possession of civilian hunting guns and ammunition, stated the MP of the Legislative Chamber Rasul Kusherbayev.

According to him, the minimum age for owning a firearm will be raised from 21 to 25 years.

Earlier it was reported that in Uzbekistan, weapons control could be transferred from the National Guard to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Currently, the purchased civilian and service weapons are subject to registration with the National Guard within ten days from the date of their purchase, with the exception of weapons and ammunition bought without the permission of the National Guard.
