Uzbekistan nationals issued the largest number of Russia work permits in 2021, the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs said in a report on Friday.
1,316,569, which is more than half of all work permits were issued to Uzbeks.
So, according to the agency, in January-December 2021, 2,221,826 work permits were issued, of which 1,316,569 were issued to citizens of Uzbekistan, nearly 787,000 to citizens of Tajikistan, and almost 65,000 to citizens of Azerbaijan. In addition, permits were issued citizens of Ukraine (37 thousand) and Moldova (17 thousand).
In 2021, the number of issued work permits in the Russian Federation almost doubled. While, the number of issued work permits for foreign citizens also increased last year.
