During plenary session of the Senate, the senators considered creating a commission of the Senate on cooperation with the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea.
As part of the discussion, the senators emphasized the importance of establishing systemic parliamentary oversight over the implementation of the agreements reached during high-level visits, consolidating the efforts of ministries and departments in this area and promptly resolving emerging problems.
In this regard, an initiative was put forward to create a commission of the Senate for cooperation with the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea.
The senators also highlighted that the creation of a platform for the further advancing inter-parliamentary cooperation will allow hearing reports and information from state and economic authorities on the implementation of tasks set by agreements between the countries.
As a result of the discussion, a resolution of the Senate was adopted, according to which a regulation and personal composition of the Commission was approved, which included senators and heads of relevant ministries and departments, companies and civil society institutions.
