The Special Anti-Coronavirus Commission scrapped the requirement for a 10-day isolation at home or in a hotel for passengers of flights from Australia, Austria, Belgium, Great Britain, Germany, Denmark, Egypt, Israel, Italy, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic, reported the Ministry of Health.
The requirement has been in effect since the beginning of last December and was due to the spike in the omicron cases.
While, international flights are alos being resumed (for entry, exit and transit flights) with Hong Kong, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Madagascar, Mozambique, Namibia, Eswatini, Tanzania and the South Africa. This restriction was also introduced in early December. Citizens of third countries who have visited these states in the last 14 days are now allowed to enter Uzbekistan.
Addditionally, the isolation period for citizens who were in contact with a person who had confirmed coronavirus was reduced from 14 to 7 days.
