In the government meeting, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, speaking about plans for the next five years, pointed to the need to increase GDP beyond $ 100 billion and industrial production by 1.4 times.
He underscored that only effective economic reforms could solve existing social problems.
“Our development strategy serves to build a free and prosperous life on the basis of a new economic outlook, new economic relations. Only by building a developed economy can we ensure peace and tranquility, national security.”
“It is no secret that today the most important task, if necessary, is to maintain peace and stability in society, strengthen our independence, ensure the territorial integrity of our country, the inviolability of our borders.”

“Through the development of new lands, the introduction of water-saving and digital technologies, science and innovation, it is necessary to increase the income of farmers by at least 2 times and achieve at least 5% annual growth in the agricultural sector.”
“It is necessary to attract $ 120 billion to the economy in five years, including $ 70 billion in foreign investment, and increase exports to $ 30 billion a year.”

It requires great strength and resources, high will and strict discipline, full mobilization of all our capabilities and resources, the President stressed.
