1,390 coronavirus cases were officially confirmed in Uzbekistan on January 21. This is the highest figure since the start of the pandemic. The previous peak was recorded on January 20 – 1,321 cases.
576 cases were detected in Tashkent city. 183 cases were confirmed in Tashkent province, 142 - in Fergana province, 77 - in Surkhandarya, 59 - in Bukhara, and 22 in Navoi provinces.
The total number of cases detected during the entire period of the pandemic exceeded 212.2 thousand.
During the day, 2 deaths from the consequences of COVID-19 were recorded, bringing the total number of officially registered deaths to 1,536.
