1,321 coronavirus cases were officially confirmed in Uzbekistan on January 20. This is the highest figure since the start of the pandemic in March 2020. The previous peak was recorded on January 19 – 1,307 cases.
524 cases were detected in Tashkent city. 173 cases were confirmed in Ferghana province, 158 in Tashkent province, 62 in Khorezm, 60 in Namangan, and 53 in Jizzakh provinces.
The total number of cases detected during the entire period of the pandemic exceeded 210.8 thousand.
During the day, 3 deaths from the consequences of COVID-19 were recorded. The total number of officially registered deaths is at 1,532.
