298.8 billion soums, or 27.6 million USD worth of over 139.4 thousand license plates were sold in 2021 on online auctions through the website of the UzEX - avtoraqam.uzex.uz. Sales of license plates increased by 40% in quantity and by 21% in value.
The average price of one transaction topped 2.1 million soums. While, 91% of license plates were purchased by individuals, 9% - by legal entities. The minimum price of a plate was 450.5 thousand soums, 43 USD, while the most expensive stood at 441.5 million soums, or 41 thousand USD.
The largest number of license plates was purchased in Tashkent city and Tashkent province (48%), Samarkand and Ferghana (8% each), Namangan and Andijan (6%), as well as in Bukhara (5%) provinces.
