On January 13, Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov hosted Ruslan Mirzaev, who on January 1 assumed the office of director of the executive committee of the regional anti-terrorist structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (RATS SCO) in Tashkent.
According to the Foreign Ministry, Minister Kamilov congratulated Mirzaev on taking office and stressed that the Uzbek side attaches great importance to the activities of the RATS, considering it as the main body of the SCO to ensure interaction between member states in the fight against terrorism, extremism and separatism.
Reportedly, the parties also discussed topical issues of cooperation within the framework of the SCO RATS, the implementation of previously reached agreements and a schedule of upcoming events at various levels.
