The contract was signed between Dadajon Isakulov, President of National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan and Hafiz Mohammad Amin, Chief Executive Officer of Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS). This agreement has been signed following two days of talks between the two parties.
The annual contract price is US$ 100 million and is for 2 billion kWh. During the visit, DABS delegation also discussed the Surkhan Pul-e-Khumri 500 kV line project, which was signed last year. The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan delegation promised to cooperate with Uzbekistan in suspended projects and expressed that IEA is willing to provide security for postponed projects.
