One of the items of the draft Roadmap of the Development Strategy for 2022-2026 to be implemented in 2022 proposed to provide free meals to primary school students in some provinces of Uzbekistan.
Proposedly, a pilot system of free meals for primary school students (grades 1-4) will be introduced in Karakalpakstan and Khorezm province.
It is also planned to ensure that school teachers have the knowledge and skills in line with international standards.
To this end, local or international certification requirements shall be established for each discipline in schools.
Work will be continued to bring quality teachers to secondary schools, especially in remote areas.
A special program will be implemented to make schools in Tashkent province a model of education reform, with the implementation of the Teachers of the New Uzbekistan program and the recruitment of the most qualified teachers from other areas to low-quality schools.
