As per the order of the Foreign Minister of Romania, Bogdan Aurescu, this country made two voluntary contributions to the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) worth total of 60 thousand euros for projects in Uzbekistan, the Romanian Ambassador to Tashkent Daniel Christian Ciobanu said.
The first installment of 40 thousand euros is intended to equip the Surkhandarya province diversified medical center with medical equipment for children. The second installment of 20 thousand euros is intended for the opening of preschool institutions in Khorezm.
It is very important for Romania to support the development and health of children, as they can make the most important contribution to the development of the country, said Ambassador Daniel Cristian Ciobanu.
