According to the draft roadmap of the development strategy for 2022-2026, an E-patrol system will be launched with an aim to check identity and background on the spot and thus getting rid of procedure of taking individuals to police departments.
In addition, the draft contains item proposing to oblige officers to carry body cameras to monitor their actions.
It is also proposed to ensure the mobility of patrols and rapid access to the scene by equipping all patrol units with cars and motorbikes.
It is also planned to reduce road deaths by improving road infrastructure and creating safe traffic conditions, including the full digitization of the traffic management system and ensuring broad public participation in this area.
There were many cases when police officers took citizens to local police departments, where the latter were tortured or even beaten to death in notorious basement torture rooms.
