Davron Khidoyatov, former chairman of the Committee on privatization, demonopolization and development of competition has been appointed as khokim (mayor) of Tashkent’s Chilanzar district, the Tashkent city mayor’s office announced.

Davron Khidoyatov (born 1976) is a graduate of the Tashkent University of Economics (1998) and the Banking and Finance Academy (2001). In 1996-2004 he worked in the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, in 2004-2005 he was the chairman of the board of Asia-Invest Bank (in Moscow).

From 2009 to 2012, he was the financial director at GM Uzbekistan, from 2012 to 2014 - the director general of JV MAN Auto-Uzbekistan.

Now the former Chilanzar district khokim, Tohir Mirhidoyatov was fired following the President’s visit to the district on April 12. He held this post since June 2015.
