Monument to the poet and scholar Alisher Navoi was inaugurated in Seoul today ahead of the state visit of the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Republic of Korea.
The ceremony was attended by the First Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber, Director of the National Center for Human Rights Akmal Saidov, Minister of Preschool Education Agrippina Shin, MP of Legislative Chamber Viktor Pak and representatives of the public of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea.
The ceremony participants laid wreaths at the foot of the monument, the press service of the National Center for Human Rights said.
Alisher Navoi’s monuments are erected in Tokyo, Shanghai, Washington, Moscow, Minsk, Baku, Mazar-i-Sharif, Osh and Dushanbe.
