Meeting of the Executive Council of the Olympic Council of Asia took place on November 20 and 21, as well as negotiations with the Chairman of the General Directorate of Sports of the UAE. The Vice-President of the Olympic Council of Asia Otabek Umarov said on his Telegram channel yesterday.
“Yesterday, on the eve of the 40th jubilee General Assembly of the Asian Olympic Council, a meeting of the Executive Council took place. This is a truly significant event for the delegation of Uzbekistan. The meetings with the acting OCA President Raja Randhir Singh and OCA DG Dr. Hussein Al-Musallam, and negotiations with the head of the Association of National Olympic Committees Robin Mitchell were very fruitful.
Negotiations with the Chairman of the General Directorate of Sports of the UAE - Vice President of the National Olympic Committee ended today. Dr. Ahmad Abdullah Humeid Bel Hul Al Falasi stressed the importance of the Olympic Council of Asia for the dialogue between the countries of the continent. Our friends in the UAE are closely following the successes of Uzbek athletes and highly valued the efforts of the country's leadership aimed at the development of mass sports. The leadership positions of Uzbekistan in many sports disciplines were separately noted: the UAE, in turn, is interested in adopting the experience that allows it to achieve such significant results.
