Four out of ten containers with humanitarian cargo for the Aral Sea zone are ready for shipment and they will be delivered from the United States to Uzbekistan, Dunyo news agency reported.

The humanitarian aid will be delivered within the framework of the agreements on supply of medical equipment and health care items to Karakalpakstan worth total of US$ 3 million, previously reached with the Project C.U.R.E. charity organization.

This was announced during a meeting between the Ambassador to the U.S. Javlon Vakhabov and the Director of Government and NGO Relations at Project C.U.R.E. Melisa Esposti, who assured that the humanitarian cargo will be delivered to Karakalpakstan in December.

Melisa Esposti reported that 24 medical institutions of Karakalpakstan have the most urgent needs for medical equipment and equipment, and in this regard, the organization plans to send these four containers with humanitarian cargo to these medical institutions.

According to the Uzbek Embassy, ​​the containers include electro-hydraulic operating tables, hemodialysis machines, ultrasound equipment, X-ray scanners, intensive care incubators for newborns, defibrillators, laboratory devices, medical oxygen cylinders, trolleys (trolleys) for transporting patients, CPAP devices -therapy, anesthesia and respiratory devices, churches with support and other equipment and supplies.

In May 2021, Project C.U.R.E. sent the first shipment of humanitarian aid to the health authorities of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, containing selected medical supplies, equipment, mobile ventilators and healthcare items.
