One man died and another was injured in a landslide on a road in Bostanlyk district of Tashkent province on April 13. Both of them were in Damas minivan, which toppled over when the landslide descended, the Uzbek Emergency Situations Ministry reported.

The incident occurred at 7:50 on the 47th km of the 4R-10 road (Charvak reservoir bypass), near Bogiston village. The length of the landslide was 10-14 m, width - 10-15 m, and height - 1-1.5 m.

Both were the inhabitants of Bogiston village. They were taken to a hospital in Bostanlyk district, where one of them died.

Currently, the staff of Emergency Situations Ministry, Interior Affairs of Tashkent province, the district mayor’s office and the Committee for Roads are cleaning the road from mud and water.

According to Uzgidromet, an avalanche hazard remains in the mountainous areas at 2000 m above sea level until April 18.
