From November 1, a subsidiary company Uzbekistan Airports Handling begins operations as part of Uzbekistan Airports. It will be headed by Umid Khamraev.
Uzbekistan Airports Handling will provide aircraft, passenger and baggage handling services. The creation of a subsidiary will help improve the quality and reduce the cost of services rendered for local and foreign airlines.
The new company will provide services for check-in, delivery and boarding of passengers on board, baggage handling and delivery, ground handling of aircraft, loading food on board, as well as services of the airport complex - a room for a mother and child, a first-aid post and a referral service.
“The current passenger traffic growth requires the creation of a structure that can cope with a large flow during peak hours, optimize the work of all services involved in servicing passengers and aircraft, while increasing the quality and reducing the turnaround time of aircraft. We intend to achieve all this by creating a handling company whose functions include the entire cycle of servicing airlines, passengers and aircraft from the moment the aircraft lands at our airports to its takeoff. Special attention is paid to the introduction of technologies and the work of personnel at each stage of service,” said Rano Juraeva, the CEO of Uzbekistan Airports.
