On September 20, Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the first President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, the presidential press service said.
Reportedly, the parties considered the state and prospects for advancing the Uzbek-Kazakh ties of friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership.
“The parties commended the current high upward trend of multifaceted cooperation and the fully restored volumes of the two-way trade and cargo transportation, and the air service. Cooperation projects are being successfully implemented in various sectors of the economy. The importance of further building up interregional contacts and cultural and humanitarian exchange was emphasized, ” the statement added.
They also exchanged views on topical issues of the international and regional agenda, taking into account the situation in Afghanistan.
