On April 7, 2017, the Uzbek Foreign Minister, Abdulaziz Kamilov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Erlan Abdyldaev who arrived in Tashkent to participate in the regular meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of CIS.

The Ministers exchanged views on topical issues on the bilateral agenda.

The sides emphasized that the Uzbek-Kyrgyz summit meeting held in Samarkand on December 24, 2016 and its results confirmed the sides' political will to discuss and address existing issues based on the principles of mutual respect and consideration of each other's interests.

It was noted that the further activation of contacts, intensive exchanges of delegations' visits at various levels is the evidence of the sides’ mutual interest in strengthening and advancing the cooperation in the political, trade-economic, transport-communication, cultural, humanitarian and other areas.

In the meeting was present the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan, Daniyar Sydykov.
