On August 23, the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev attended as an invited guest in an extraordinary online meeting of the Collective Security Treaty Organization on the situation in Afghanistan, the presidential press service reported.
He told the meeting participants about measures aimed at promoting regional security, including reliable guarding and protection of the state border with Afghanistan, the report says.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev commended the well-established cooperation and prompt exchange of information with the relevant structures of the states of the region over the situation in Afghanistan.
An agreement was reached at the summit to continue joint consultations and regular exchange of information on the situation in the region.
