The Tashkent's domestic flights airport (Tashkent-3) will be closed for certain period from August 19 for technical reasons, Uzbekistan Airways said.
All domestic flights will be operated as per the schedule from the Islam Karimov Airport.
A source in the government said that the local terminal was provided to ensure uninterrupted evacuation of German nationals, other countries of the European Union, as well as Afghanistan, who will be sent from Kabul in transit through Tashkent.
The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier reached an agreement on this during a telephone conversation the day before.
According to the source, there may be temporary changes in the schedule of local and international flights.
