On August 17, the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree increasing salaries, pensions, student allowances and benefits by an average of 10% from September 1.

"In order to expand the scale of measures aimed at improving the standard of living of the population, further strengthening social protection of citizens and material support for families in need during the coronavirus pandemic, consistently increasing their incomes," the following amounts of:

  • the minimum wage - 822 thousand soums per month;
  • the basic calculated value - 270 thousand soums per month;
  • the basic value for pension calculation - 289 thousand soums per month;
  • the amount of the old-age pension - 565 thousand soums per month;
  • the amount of the allowance for children with disabilities - 622 thousand soums per month;
  • the amount of the allowance for the elderly and disabled citizens who do not have the required work experience - 440 thousand soums per month;
  • the minimum pension for incomplete work experience, taking into account additional payments - 440 thousand soums per month;
  • the amount of old-age and disability pensions for persons receiving pensions in the amount from the established minimum old-age pension to 623 thousand soums per month;
  • the amount of pensions, including allowances, for disabled people and participants in the war of 1941-1945, as well as former underage prisoners of Nazi concentration camps and people who worked during the blockade of the city of Leningrad - 2.75 million soums per month;
  • the minimum pension for one disabled family member of the recipient of the survivor's pension is 440 thousand soums per month with the payment of a pension to each next disabled family member in accordance with the current procedure;
  • the amount of the allowance per one disabled family member of the recipient of the survivor's allowance is 440 thousand soums per month and the addition of 165 thousand soums for each next disabled member of such families.

The decree recommended that employers increase wages in accordance with the minimum wage, ensuring that wages are paid not less than the minimum wage established by legislative acts.
