"I am confident that this visit will be very successful and be the starting point for the development of our relations so that a new page of kind-hearted, friendly ties is opened between our countries," Medvedev said.

The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said: "I express my sincere condolences to the relatives and friends of the victims of the terrorist attack in St. Petersburg. Terrorism is a threat that knows no boundaries, so it is necessary to fight it together.”
