International Treaties Bill has been drafted in Uzbekistan, a statement of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said. The document was drafted by the Foreign Ministry and has been published in the Portal of Discussions of Regulatory and Legal Acts.

The purpose of the draft is to determine the procedure for entering into, executing, suspending and terminating of international treaties of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as monitoring their fulfillment.

The document says that the right to enter into international treaties of the Republic of Uzbekistan is attributed to the state.

International treaties of the Republic of Uzbekistan are entered into on behalf of: the Republic of Uzbekistan - interstate agreements; the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan - intergovernmental agreements and government bodies of the Republic of Uzbekistan within their competence - interagency agreements.

State bodies on matters within their competence may, in agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, submit an initiative proposal to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and, in some cases, to the President, on initiating an expert study of the draft international treaty or the issue of the expediency of Uzbekistan's participation in a multilateral international treaty.

The bill regulates other issues on signing, ratification and fulfillment, as well as monitoring of international treaties. The document also regulates the issues of termination and denunciation of international treaties.
