President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the invitation of the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, will pay a state visit to Russia on April 4-5, a statement of UzA said.

During the meetings and talks, the sides will consider a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda and the prospects for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation in the political, trade-economic, investment, transport-communication, scientific-technical, cultural-humanitarian and other areas in the context of strengthening Strategic Partnership and Alliance between Uzbekistan and Russia, the statement added

The Heads of States will also exchange views on the current regional and international issues.

Within the framework of the visit, it is expected that a solid package of intergovernmental, interagency agreements, commercial contracts and other documents will be signed which are aimed at gradual deepening of the Uzbek-Russian relations, bringing them to a qualitatively new level, the statement concluded.
