The President Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a government meeting, dedicated to the status of instructions to create jobs through the development of agriculture, assistance to SMEs and the service sector, as well as increasing the volume of products in the field of poultry farming, fishing and cattle breeding.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev said that the practice of allocating land plots by the decision of a mayor will be abandoned. “I signed a decree yesterday,” he added.
He noted that in the Navoi province in two months the number of business entities increased by 45% through the allocation of land.
“I believe that if the governor of the province Kabul Tursunov makes a little more effort, he will increase this figure by 145% by the end of the year,” the president said. - In Navoi there are virtually unlimited lands and resources. You now know that a lot depends on you ... There should not be a problem of unemployment in the Navoi province”.
“In Surkhandarya, we can create a large enterprise worth 500 million or 1 billion dollars,” continued Shavkat Mirziyoyev. - But this enterprise can employ a maximum of 1000 people, and in Surkhandarya there are 200 thousand unemployed. Surkhandarya residents can be fed only by the land ”.
The head of state stressed that it is not necessary just to allocate land, it is necessary first to educate people.
“We are starting to give land to real owners - the people. This is a historic step,” the President stressed.
The President noted that not a single crime was committed in the hundred makhallas of Surkhandarya, as the people have sources of income.
“There are no bad people, there are bad mayors and governors, bad sector leaders,” the head of state emphasized, noting the role of leaders in providing conditions for citizens.
In Navoi province, it is planned to allocate 40 thousand hectares of land and provide jobs for 120 thousand people.
As previously reported, this year it is planned to create 457 thousand permanent jobs under the employment program.
“The number of jobs in the field of entrepreneurship, services and agriculture can be increased by 1.5-2 times,” the president said.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed the leaders, governors of provinces and banks to accelerate projects in the service sector and create 175 thousand permanent jobs (75 thousand in the third quarter, 100 thousand - by the end of the year).
By organizing points of trade and services along international and provincial highways, it is possible to create 50 thousand jobs, by creating special streets, organizing service points in each provincial center and makhalla - 100 thousand jobs.
In addition, the Deputy Prime Ministers Jamshid Kuchkarov, Sardor Umurzakov, governors and banks are responsible for creating 175,000 permanent jobs in the remaining 7 months through additional projects in the industry, the president said.
On the basis of the experiment that began in Surkhandarya, a procedure for leasing agricultural land for 10 years for dekhkan farming will be introduced.
For this, 100 thousand hectares of land, released due to the reduction of sown areas for wheat, will be provided to the unemployed to create dekhkan farms. This will provide employment for at least 400 thousand people. After the cotton harvest, an additional 100 thousand hectares of land will be freed up for these purposes.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev also proposed subsidizing half of the cost of air transportation for exporters of fruit and vegetable products.
