On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation, Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a congratulatory message to the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, which said: "Over the past years, the Russian-Uzbek ties have reached the level of strategic partnership. The rich political dialogue, productive cooperation in trade and economic, scientific, technical, humanitarian and other areas are actively developing. Our countries cooperate effectively in resolving urgent problems of the regional and international agenda.

I am confident that by joint efforts we will ensure the further expansion of the entire range of bilateral relations for the benefit of the friendly peoples of Russia and Uzbekistan, in the interests of strengthening peace, security and stability in the Central Asia. "

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in his message noted that "over the past period we have manged to achieve tangible results in the development of comprehensive and multifaceted Uzbek-Russian relations."

As the Head of our State noted, "today Russia is the major trade and investment partner of Uzbekistan. The countries are preparing and implementing large-scale projects in the oil and gas complex, engineering and electrical industry, textile, pharmaceutical and food industries, and deep processing of agricultural products."

The President of Uzbekistan expressed confidence that "our forthcoming meeting in Moscow will serve to further strengthen and deepen the multifaceted and long-term strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Russia."
