Uzbekistan Airports has made a decision to cut fees and charges for ground handling of aircrafts starting from April 15, the Ministry of Transport said in a statement.
Basic fees and charges will be cut by an average of 27% and shall be applied to foreign airlines making regular passenger flights to the Uzbek airports.
Reportedly, the reduced fees and tariffs have been published in international aviation directories, which will allow more than 190 member countries of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to be notified about them.
“The decision made will ensure the competitiveness of Uzbek airports, boost tourism and business activity, and make air travel more affordable,” said Rano Juraeva, chairman of Uzbekistan Airports.
