Uzbekistan Airways has changed the baggage rules to the piece concept, previously the weight concept (by weight) was in effect, the company said in a statement.
The following baggage limits have been introduced:
Business class:
- 1 registered piece weighing no more than 32 kg and measuring no more than 158 cm by the sum of three measurements;
- for an infant without a seat - 1 registered piece weighing no more than 10 kg and dimensions no more than 115 cm by the sum of three dimensions.
Economy class:
- 1 registered piece weighing no more than 23 kg and measuring no more than 158 cm by the sum of three measurements;
- for an infant without a seat - 1 registered piece weighing no more than 10 kg and dimensions no more than 115 cm by the sum of three measurements;
Carry-on baggage:
- for economy class - 1 - 8 kg;
- for business class - 1 - 10 kg.
The size of carry-on baggage should not exceed 115 cm in the sum of three dimensions
Exceptions:
On the Uzbekistan - Istanbul / Dubai / Sharjah routes and vice versa, the previous the weight concept shall keep applying. At the same time, on through international routes to / from Istanbul / Dubai / Sharjah, the piece concept rate shall apply (exception: on through routes to / from the city of Uzbekistan to Istanbul / Dubai / Sharjah and back, the rate of carriage is based on the weight concept principle);
The baggage allowance on flights to New York and Beijing remains the same (exception: for economy class non-refundable fares from March 28, 2021 on the Tashkent - New York route and back, the baggage allowance is 1 PC no more than 23 kg ).
The company recommended that when buying an air ticket, be sure to familiarize yourself with the conditions and rules for applying the fare.
