Special units of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan and Turkey launched special tactical drills on March 22 at the Termez training ground in the South-Western Special Military District, the Defense Ministry said.
On the first day, the military personnel of the two countries run through 15 kilometers, performed close combat elements, conducted demonstration firing as part of combat twos, threes, fours and exercised survival in extreme conditions.
Sports competitions between Uzbek and Turkish military personnel were also organized at the training ground.
The drills will last through March 27, the Ministry of Defense concluded.
