The Hampton by Hilton hotel will be built in the Tashkent's Abdula Qodiri Park on 0.75 hectares. The time capsule laying ceremony in the foundation took place on March 20, the city mayor's office said.
Reportedly, the project developer and investor is a Kazakhstan-based, BI Group, with estimated invetsment at over 100 billion soums. The construction of the 120-room hotel, which will also host a business center, will begin in May, and is scheduled to be completed in June 2022.
The ceremony was attended by the deputy mayor of Tashkent city/Head of investment and foreign trade department Sharof Rakhmanov, the mayor of Olmazor district Abdumazhid Mullazhanov, as well as the adviser-envoy of the Kazakh embassy Kanat Khasenov and the chairman of BI Group Aydin Rakhimbaev.
BI Group signed a master agreement with Hilton Worldwide to build 10 Hampton by Hilton hotels in Central Asia, including a hotel in Tashkent, last year.
