The President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the Measures to further develop multilateral cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation Decree, the Norma reported.
Reportedly, in order to expand the beneficial, practical partnership ties between the two countries in the political, trade, economic, investment, financial, technical, cultural and humanitarian areas:
- the position of a Deputy Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade (MIFT)/Director of the Center for Development of Investment Projects, in charge of the development of foreign economic cooperation with the Russian Federation;
- a department for development of cooperation with the Russian Federation is created with a staff of 5 people,
have been established the structure of the central office of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade
A representative office of MIFT with 7 employees will open in Moscow, which will be engaged in the implementation of joint projects.
In addition, a department for the development of cooperation with international and regional organizations and the improvement of the processes of external economic integration is being created in the structure of the MIFT.
The Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade was instructed to analyze the implementation of previously adopted presidential decrees within three months, as well as to unite the road maps approved by these documents into a single one.
