On March 17, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the first President of Kazakhstan - Nursultan Nazarbayev, the presidential press service said.
The counterparts reportedly exchanged congratulations on the upcoming spring holiday Navruz and sincerely wished peace, well-being and prosperity to the two fraternal peoples and reviewed the ways to further strengthen the Uzbek-Kazakh relations of centuries-old friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership.
The sides focused on expanding multifaceted cooperation, promoting priority projects in the field of trade, strengthening industrial cooperation and developing transport infrastructure, enhancing interregional contacts and humanitarian exchanges.
In addition, preparation for the upcoming summit of the Turkic Council were also discussed.
