In line with the President’s Measures for gradual modernization of power units at the Syrdarya thermal power plant Decree, the ninth and tenth power units of Syrdarya TPP will be modernized this year by the Russian company Power Machines.
The third stage of the modernization process was launched yesterday.
The Russian Silovye Mashiny and leading specialists of the plant are taking part in it.
Due to the modernization, the efficiency of power units will rise, the capacity of each power unit will be increased to 325 MW, conditional fuel consumption per 1 kW/h will be reduced by 40 grams.
As a result, 180 mln. cubic meters of natural gas will be saved.
In 2019-2020, modernization of the third, fourth, fifth and sixth power units was successfully carried out, said Alexei Terentev, head of the working group on modernization of generators of Power Machines. The modernization of the next two power units will be completed in November and the units will be fully operational.
