On March 9, the Deputy PM/Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov met with Secretary General of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Ghassan Al-Baba, the Ministry said.
The parties discussed issues related to preparations for the 46th annual meeting of the Board of Governors of the IDB in 2021 in Uzbekistan.
The Secretary General of the IDB Group spoke about the current state of preparations, the activities of the organizing committee and relevant working groups of the IDB and representatives of ministries and departments of Uzbekistan.
It was reported that the bank's management is considering the possibility of organizing a visit of IDB President Bandar Al Hajjar to Uzbekistan in May this year to hold a Road Show to cover the upcoming meeting in the international media.
