On March 1, Minister of Innovative Development Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov hosted the Kazakh Ambassador Darkhan Satybaldy, with the parties discussing Uzbekistan’s anti-coronavirus efforts and cooperation in this area, the ministry said.

Abdurakhmonov briefed about the clinical trials of the Uzbek-Chinese vaccine ZF-UZ-VAC2001, with 6,836 volunteers having received the first dose, 4,453 volunteers have received the second and 283 volunteers have received the third dose to date. With allergic reaction observed among 0.01 percent, which speaks of the safety of the vaccine.

Darkhan Satybaldy reportedly congratulated on the success of research on the Sino-Uzbek vaccine ZF-UZ-VAC2001, and noted that he would prepare a proposal to discuss the supply of the Uzbek-Chinese vaccine to Kazakhstan.

Following the talks, the Kazakh Ambassador Darkhan Satybaldy and two officials of the Embassy of Kazakhstan received the first dose of ZF-UZ-VAC2001 vaccine.
