On March 10, 2017 a Kazakhstan delegation headed by the Assistant to the President, the Secretary of the Security Council of Kazakhstan, Vladimir Zhumakanov visited Tashkent, UzA reported.
The delegation took part in the maiden meeting of the interagency mechanism of bilateral consultations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
In the talks were present the heads of law enforcement bodies and state institutions of the two countries. The sides discussed the prospects of partnership in counteracting modern challenges and threats to stability and security, as well as cooperation in combating religious extremism and terrorism, illegal migration and other issues.
The proposals were made on development of mutual contacts to jointly respond to emerging challenges and threats.
