The President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the decree dismissing Dilmurod Nabiev from the post of the Minister of Sports. "Dilmurod Nabiev is being dismissed from the post of the Minister of Sports due to his being moved to another role," the presidential press service said.
Dilmurod Nabiev had been heading the ministry since July 2018, with his new role not yet known.
Earlier this week at the Jan. 27 government meeting Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced that one governor and minister would be sacked this week.
Note: Year-to-date, two ministers have been replaced - the Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education Inomjon Majidov and the Minister of Housing and Communal Services Muzaffar Soliev.
