In January–December 2020, the average monthly salary before tax of employees of legal entities, excluding small and agriculture businesses, topped 2.6 million soums, US$ 250 increasing by 14.8% to the last year, the Statistics Committee said in a report.
Average monthly salary includes allowances, remuneration, incentive payments, compensation payments and remuneration for unworked time.
The highest level of average monthly salaries was observed in financial and insurance sector and reached 6.2 million soums, which is 2.3 times higher than the national level, and the lowest - in healthcare and the provision of social services and amounted to 1.8 million soums, or 67.8 % of the average monthly salaries.
Breaking down by provinces, the highest average monthly salary is in Tashkent city - 3.99 million soums (by 49.7% higher than the national average), Navoi province - 3.5 million soums (31.2%) and Tashkent - province 2.87 million soums (7, 6%).
The lowest average monthly salary is in Samarkand - 2.11 million soums, Fergana - 2.09 million soums, Surkhandarya - 2.08 million soums, Namangan - 2.06 million soums and Kashkadarya - 2.02 million soums.
