The presidential press service posted a special report on the trip of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Bukhara province.
As part of a two-day visit, the President held a meeting in the Alat district, where, he separately touched upon on the fight against corruption and gave instructions to Makhmud Istamov, who was appointed prosecutor of the Bukhara province on the eve of the visit.
“It is hard to admit, but we are failing to eradicate corruption in Uzbekistan. You must be able to match to the position of a prosecutor, you need to ensure the rule of law. People must not see a embezzler in a prosecutor,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
Earlier, the president said that colleges, now under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education, will be transferred to the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations. It is expected that college duration will be shortened and the number of professions increased.
