The Samarkand province governor Erkinjon Turdimov went on a short vacation to improve health, the press service of the provincial governor’s office said.
The office denied the information that surfaced on social networks that Erkinjon Turdimov suffered a microstroke.
“The governor’s blood pressure rose on Saturday. Previously, he had no such issue. He is currently undergoing medical examination, not treatment. He is fine, I talked to him 10 minutes ago,” said the spokesman the office Manuchehr Mirzaev.
According to him, the governor is being examined at the Main Medical Directorate under the Presidential Administration in Tashkent.
