The Phase I of the $140 million business aviation airport project at Tashkent-Sharqiy (Eastern) airport will be completed before 2022.
This is stated in the president’s Measures to implement the investment program for 2021-2023 Decree.
The new facility reportedly has a 250-passenger per hour throughput.
In May 2018, the project “Construction of a modern business aviation airport in place of Tashkent-Sharqiy (Eastern) airport” was unveiled. At that time, the airfield, which was under the control of the Defense Ministry, was transferred to the Uzbekistan Railways, which is currently implementing the project.
