66 hotels and 12 malls are planned to build in Tashkent in two years, the Tashkent’s Tourism Development Department said in a statement.
“Local and foreign investors will reportedly invest a total of 9.442 trillion soums (US$ 739.5 million of which are foreign investments) in Tashkent in 2021-2023 for 90 projects, of which 66 are hotel projects (with total of 3596 rooms, 7050 beds), 12 malls, 9 parks and 3 craftsmen's centers,” the statement added.
The said projects are projected to create 6,102 new jobs. At this stage, a list of projects has been formed and monitoring is underway.
