On December 30, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on the Uzbekistan’s 2021 state budget law. According to the decree, from February 1, 2021, the salaries of employees of budget-financed institutions and organizations, as well as scholarships, will increase by 10%.
From this date, the minimum wage is set in the country at the rate of 747.3 thousand soums, US$ 72 per month (now - 679.3 thousand);
The basic calculation value increases from 223 thousand to 245 thousand soums.
Benefits for families with children under 14 are also raised by 10%. The allowance for a child under 2 years old will top 434 thousand soums, material assistance to low-income families will be increased from 326 thousand to 653 thousand soums.
The size of one-time financial assistance to needy families in Karakalpakstan and Khorezm has also been raised from 434 thousand to 1.085 million soums.
