Uzbekistan is expanding cooperation with UN’s three agencies. The decision was signed by the head of state on December 15, the Norma said.

These are the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the World Food Program (WFP).

In November 2020, Uzbekistan was elected the chair country of the FAO Regional Conference for Europe for the next two years.

It was noted that the priorities for comprehensive expansion of cooperation with the FAO, IFAD and WFP were identified and the relevant Road Map was approved.

The staff list of the Uzbekistan Embassy to Italy has been amended:

The Ambassador was appointed the Permanent Representative of Uzbekistan to the FAO, IFAD and WFP on a rotating basis. In this capacity, he shall coordinate all issues related to Uzbekistan's cooperation with these organizations;

The document took effect on 16.12.2020.
